2nd TDS694C Purchased from eBay; with USB emulator | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
This section of my notes is for my purpose of learning to navigate the floppy emulator; getting data and using PSI-Plot to get waveform plots; other purposes are used explained as needed. REF: "Quick User's Guide For 26Pin 1.44MB Slim Floppy Drive Emulator" SOME OBSERVATIONS ( trying to make sense regarding navigation): 1ST OBSERVATION: "Accessing Files From The USB Flash Drive" > When powered up and memory stick has no file data , cleared data, is "inserted in the USB Flash Drive Port" ; LED going ON then off after few seconds according to "Quick user's Guide transfers data from Flash Drive to USB Emulator memory". 1---> SAVE/RECALL >> FILE UTILITY ( having saved data in CSV format) get display " hdo:: // fdo: // *. * // TEK?????.WFN " 2----> after pulling out the STICK and inserting a STICK with files LED goes on momentarily ; repeat "1" get display: |

/___ USB Emulator Memory now reflects data stored in 2nd STICK used. /___ repeat above from the beginning => insert empty stick into USB Flash Drive Port >> SAVE/RECALL >> FILE UTILITY get: "hdo:: // fdo: // *. * // TEK?????.WFN " The USB drive port suggests ie. FLASH that it stores data non-volatile; appears to be so until another USB stick is inserted /__ it appears that the USB Flash Drive Port updates its content "reflecting the STICK contents " as indicated in the "Quick User's Guide... Accessing Files From The USB Flash Drive:" 2ND OBSERVATION: "Transferring Files To The USB Flash Drive In The Floppy Emulator" >> get data from RF GHz generator WB-SG1 start at ~ 200 MHz >> SAVE/RECALL >> Save WFM Ch1 >> To File >> choose file TEK?????.CVS .. > Save to Selected File > Confirm Save >> system freezes for several minutes to complete task. > SAVE/RECALL >> FILE UTILITY get: |

Rename file for tagging from TEK00000.CVS to TEK0TST1.CVS which is stored in the USB Flash Drive: /__ now wish to write this file in 2nd STICK => insert in drive > Out button > then hit Out button second time > failed to write /__ SAVE/RECALL >> Save WFM ( thought was TEK0TST1.CVS) Ch1 >> To File >> choose file TEK?????.CVS with 2nd STICK inserted > instead got TEK00001.CVS on PC ( which after thought makes sense) . Insert STICK back into USB Flash Drive ( hit OUT button) > repeat changing file name : got TEK00002.CVS : At times it appears to be much easier to change name using PC > appears need to understand this better /__ changed name on PC .insert STICK in USB Drive > hit UTILITIES button get: |
